That's a very clever idea that might work; you would have
to try it. The excess voltage might increase stress
on some of the components, mainly the motor. I should
mention that my power voltage already runs between
126 and 130 volts consistently. The socialist power
company here apparently had a similar idea to what
you thought of and decided to up the tap voltage on my
pole pig to compensate for the fact that they are running
my 3 houses on one #4 drop cable. Instead of beefing up
the drop cable like I requested. So at this QTH, the
10 volt setup might not be a great idea. YMMV.
