The telephone company owns wiring only up to the "demarcation" box where
it enters the house (and includes a lightning arrestor). From there to
your phone(s) is OUR wiring, and our responsibility. But wiring both
inside and outside the house can receive and radiate RF, so making all
of it twisted pair is a good thing.
I have replace almost all of the phone wiring with CAT-5 or 6.
Even the ruin along with the network to the shop.
