I have a line one some used masts. Both aluminum and steel. Is there

I can offer some information, but not much specific.
I usually purchase a fait amount of 6061-T6 in 1.5 and 2" with various
wall thicknesses and it comes with color coding paint on thr ends.
Steel Tubing "usually" doesn't have a welded seam, while pipe "usually
does. Structural steel tubing has a seam and comes in both schedule 40
and 80, like pipe.
If you find steel that is relatively smooth and no sean and standard
wall thicknesses like 1/8, 3/16, or 1/4, it's probably DOM or Drawn Over
Mandrel.
About the only way I know of to figure strength is "I believe, a
durometer test for hardness
Sorry I can't be more specific, but there should be members far more
knowledgeable than I on here and maybe one of them will step forward.
73 and good luck,

Thanks in advance.
