In theory, you need to have the patent number on it if you claim
patented, but there's plenty of examples where the mfr doesn't do that.
It could be a design patent, too (they tend to be very narrow, but at
least you can claim "patented").
However, none of the easy searches turns up anything likely.
If the patent issued in the mid 90s, then it would be expiring about now
(assuming the patent holder has paid all the fees. otherwise it would
have expired ealier)
