Hi Jack,
For my US Tower TX472 (http://www.tinyurl.com/wa7prc-tower),
I use the drill adapter idea developed by Rick N6RK
(http://www.n6rk.com/drill_adapter_for_winch/drill_adapter_for_winch.html).
I drive it with a factory refurbished Milwaukee "Super Hawg"
right-angle drill (400 rpm/13A) that I found on eBay.
IIRC, I paid about $250.
If I don't stop, it takes about a minute to tilt the
tower up/down and another minute to telescope the
tower. Several cables coming down the tower require
attention to avoid tangles, which means I can't
tilt/telescope it in one operation. The Super Hawg
is such an animal, I have the bonus of being able
to drill just about ANY size hole in just about ANYTHING.
