Never, never, never drill into tower legs. The galvanizing is now
compromised. No
matter how small, long term it's not too healthy. The clamps for structural work just fine, 5 years later no indication of dissimilar metals problems, nor any corrosion on my 90 footer.By the way you can by cold galvanizing type paint to protect the connections. 73!' ed K0KL _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTalk mailing list TowerTalk@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk |
