Practical Antennas - Vol 1 and 2 by Marcel H De Canck, ON5AU
Volume 2 of this series has just been released. If you already have
Volume 1, you'll want to add this new Volume 2. If not, here is an
opportunity to save 20% with the purchase of both books.
The author is very knowledgeable in this field of antennas and he is
very thorough in his nearly 600 pages in these 2 Volumes describing
each antenna, its construction and what to expect of its performance
for a particular use. Included are 100s of illustrations, animated
demos and modeling files.
Volume 1
With 285 pages, is about antenna fundamentals and why and how an
antenna radiates. The antennas discussed are mostly dipoles or
resembling such and horizontally polarized.
Volume 2
With 303 pages, vertically polarized antennas are highlighted and
how they perform with their various radiating properties. Included
are the various loop antennas which can be either easily horizontal
or vertical polarized. What are the advantages or disadvantages of
antennas differently polarized? Discover what and how they perform.
A detailed list of the topics covered in the 2 Volumes can be found
