Hi Tom.
A similar question came up just a couple of weeks ago concerning T2X
wiring. While I had my Ham IV rotator down recently to service it, I
didn't pay much attention to the wire colors except to note that after
all these years, they were pretty faded. I did a little searching on
the web and here's what I came up with...
Norm's Rotor service web site states the following:
"The colors vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. But it really
doesn't make any difference, as long as you make sure that you're
connecting terminal 1 on the rotor to terminal 1 on the control box,
terminal 2 to terminal 2, and so on. Also, on the HAM series and T2X
rotors, you need to be aware that the heavy wires must go to terminals 1
and 2. Norm uses this color code for CDE/Telex/Hy-gain rotors."
1. black #18 gauge 2. white #18 gauge 3. green #22 gauge 4. blue #22 gauge
5. orange #22 gauge 6. yellow #22 gauge 7. brown #22 gauge 8. red #22 gauge

Ham IV manual here:

CD-45II manual shows actual wire colors used in the rotator on page 14.
They are a match to those noted in Norm's comments, above:

Let us know if this works for you.

I am repairing a Ham 3 that has a missing terminal strip on the bottom. I
can't find the wiring color codes for terminals 3-8. I have 1 and 2 working
the brake OK. I would appreciate any info on the remaining wire colors to
their respective terminal strip numbers.
