In this instance you are measuring the SWR of the dummy load.
Any 4 Square that uses the Collins method (DXE & Comtek Systems do) will show a
good SWR accross the band of
interest because you are measuring the dummy load, and not the antenna.
If you want information as to how to "tune up" a 4 Square, let me know, I've
built 2 so far, totally home brew
and happy to help.

Subject: [TowerTalk] DXE 4SQ question!!!
Hello
I am installing a DXE 4SQ box.
Just connected the first antenna to the position #3 on the antennas switch
box. Tested it and SWR is 1:1 on positions #1 and #3 of the control
box!!!!....
I have not antenna connected to #1!!!
Any idea why?
Thanks,
Jorge
