Dave is looking for a way to mount a small HF tri-bander on a telc pole. Dave, if you're a member, go to ARRL, and search the QST archives for "Telephone pole". There are 2 hits there. The early one used pipe. The other uses welded up flat plate. Looks like they both use a thrust bearing.
