my peet wx station has a built in relay for wind alarm....
which I have yet to connect to my "down" tower switch setting.....

usually the tower is low,.,,,,  but not down

as far as potential damage ,,,since i'm on a hill that sees 60- 70 mph,,,
auto down at 40mph  is looking very gud before winter sets in.
