for the bottom of the box is reasonable and adequate for my needs.
I agree on the single point grounding/bonding.

Your local code may be more stringent, particularly in areas (like MO)
where the ground freezes and has a tendency to push things to the
surface, and like here where it rains heavily and there's a 24" above
grade requirement for outlets (I believe...)
I'm sure someone else will chime in, grounding being a favorite topic
here, but, your ground systems should be bonded at a single point, not
necessarily at the outlet box. If he's reading, Jim Lux is a credible
expert on grounding.
