It doesn't look like a voltage induced failure, by the looks of it, the spring
just lost tension, and when it is COLD out, it was fine. Looks like a thermal
cycling failure

Like I said, just going to go with N connectors, but no huge rush, as I
replaced the barrel connector, and all is fine right now.
I've never loved the PL-259, and probably never will. I'd love to see readily
available 7-16 DIN, which gives you the best of N connectors and PL-259
