One trick is to place the back of the boom and/or reflector on some saw horses
and point the yagi straight up in the air to do your SWR checks prior to tower
mounting --- IMHO it has worked great and accurately emulates what you will
see once you get the beam mounted higher.
OR, as also suggested use the default settings in the manual for the part of
the band you need!

refurbishing it. I've tuned it for the part of band I want (CW & RTTY)
with my MFJ-259. My question is, how much will the tuning
(SWR/reactance) change when I get it back up at 70 feet? Will it be
about the same or higher?
