Been Their Done That ..First set rusted out in a year...
Second set I spray galvanized with "Rust-Oleum's "Cold Galvanizing
Compound". then Drilled three ..1/2 inches holes in the bottom for
drainage/Condensation ... Then plugged a patch of epoxy putty in with
"Loctite's Repair Putty".. to seal the three holes ... after drying drilled
the holes with a 3/8 inch drill, so now the drain holes are epoxy and not
metal to rust...then on the inside glued a piece of window screening over
the holes to get the bugs out, etc...
Then sealed and water proofed the connectors with "Loctite's Repair Putty"..
(Epoxy in putty form) ...
All still perfect after three years!!!

last two cans of paint I bought the cans were PLASTIC...
