It's not too difficult. Just make sure you don't get wires caught in
the wrong place when you reassemble.
These are terrible scans but they might be somewhat helpful.

Found this at the M2 web site but not sure if it is current.

I have a reed switch in my hand and it is a GRI P-20-A with a 2007
date code. However the only Internet hit I got was here on TowerTalk
from 2005.
The reed switch that originally came in my 11 year old OR-2800DC is a
bit longer than the GRI switch but was a discontinued part. I had great
difficulty getting the new shorter switch in far enough for it to pick
up pulses properly. Not sure if that has anything to do with the note in
the lower left corner of the first scan. If I have to do it again I will
probably make a mod to get the switch closer to the magnet.
Perhaps someone has newer/better info.
