I have the RCS-12 with lightning protection MoVs mounted at the base of my
tower and it's been troublefree since day one. I especially like that it
uses band decoder data for automatic antenna selection. Takes one less thing
off my plate when I'm contesting and running on fumes.

Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] Ameritron Remote Coax Switch
I have used the RCSV-8 for 6 years and it has been trouble free, more or
less. I selected it because it was available new for $119.00 at the time.
Note well that I mounted it at ground level and have four cable runs up my
HG-54HD crank-up tower. Good luck in your quest.
