Elevator! We had to climb the whole 1500'+ back then. No elevator. That is
the way it "used" to be done. He gets caught now, he's down the road.
The antenna climb was always fun, swinging back and forth in the wind trying
to replace slot covers in it at midnight with a cordless drill in your hand
with a 7/16" socket on the end to take the hundreds of bolts out. I don't
miss those days.
What I want to know is who shut this down in the daytime? We had to do it
all in the dark during the maintenance window.

Somebody sent me this link..so it`s still around..freaks me right out.
At least they got to use the elevator for the 1st 1600 feet.
That last little bit..up the side of the 60 ft ant is a doozy.
