I did exactly that and A/B'ed it with an inverted vee at 60 feet.
There was about 10 dB advantage for DX in favor of the higher antenna.
The apex was at 130 feet and it was tied off 300 feet away.
The high antenna was comparable to a ground mounted 1/4 wave vertical
for DX.
