This subject has had a lot of tread wear over the years, but it is a damned
important one. I would think there would be than a few guys with warnings
about what to use and what NOT. Frankly I don't care what NORTHERN TOOL or
Harbour Freight or Fischer Price indicates on the box. These are the guys
that brought us lead based paint and oil well blow out preventers. If you
are smart, and want to save yourself a lot of heartache, find out from
someone who knows what the hell they are talking about before spending a
penny on some garage door opener motor that is supposed to let you tilt your
tower over. It might let it down, but only ONCE. - Mike

That winch is way too small. I have a 12 volt 8000lb wench to tilt over my
472 (double line), and it is just barely able to safely do the job.
Although the 2000 lb winch might lift it into position, it will not hold it
at an
angle, or be able to stop it on the way down. It will just spool all of the
cable off and slam your tower into the ground. Let me know if your
experience differs.
