I will not trow more FUEL to this topic ( but really will love to do it)
The thing is that sometimes we made the mistake to do not delete the
towertalk email and just not add the interested email
when we answer in Spanish, YES we break a lot the "rule". because we
communicate better in our language or we just have more time
in this reflector and know the answer or the idea to some basic stuff.
For those that are limited in other language , mi recommendation is waste your
money in Rosseta Stone or just save hundreds of
dollar using the Google Translator or just the delete key.
Thank you guys what take the time to answer all those basic questions and
doubts that we sometime ask,
Sharing your knowledge and experiences is great, helps others all over the
world to have more fun with the radio.
We = spanish, french, italian, portuguese etc etc spoken people that belong to
the reflector
we use the translator very often .
also the automatic spelling correction tool.

Geez,
I didn't think this was an 'English' only list serve...is it USA only as
well? Better hit the delete key now...this was bound to happen!
English speaking correspondents might want to go to the trouble to run
fellow non-English speaking ham hobbyist text through a translator site, if
they think the non-English speakers might be interested, or might benefit
from some useful information the English-only speaker has to contribute.
But, being the bone-heads we are...lets just offend the rest of the world
and show them how ignorant we can be; that we expect the rest of the planet
to speak English... The average person in Europe speaks three
languages...aren't these the same folks we build massive antennas systems to
launch our signals to; so we can get signal reports from to stoke our egos
-- DUH!
I'm on several ham radio reflectors and often times see non-English emails.
Its not a big deal...the hobby is about communicating, isn't it? Did it say
somewhere it has to always be in English?
Ever wonder how much easier one could work DX if one responded to the DX
station's CQ in-language?
Gracias por sus comentarios ... Tom muy apreciada. Ahora espero las llamas
e-mail!
