As long as the cables are straight serial cables and not null modem
cables they will have the correct pinout.
However if they are both null modem cables they should also in theory work.
But If one cable is a null modem and the other is a straight serial
cable you will have a problem.
Either way just try it. It won't hurt anything if it's not correct.
