Why not hinge the tower say 10 feet up and then put a counterpoise on the
tower at the hinge point, then put into the ground next to the tower a 1
foot diameter pipe imbedded 6 feet down in the ground. Use this like as is
done in the EZ Tower . A friend of mine in Ft. Myers FL has done this for a
40 ft tower with a log periodic on top. He uses a boat trailer winch to
manually lower and raise the tower.
