built other 25g towers, and when I found this one we were a bit shocked
to say the least. Nobody on my crew is climbing it.
The way to remove it is with a good sized crane with double hooks.
That way one of the hooks can take you up in a man-basket to a good point up
the tower to attach the other hook with slings to the tower. The operator
lets you down in the man-basket, you cut the guys and the crane lowers it
down. You only have to attach the second hook somewhere about the 2/3 height
so a crane with 120' of jib or so will work. I've lowered 100' of 25G in one
piece and it came down in one undamaged piece. 150' is pushing it so you
might wind up bending some sections but at least it'll come down safely.
You'd never catch me up on that thing! I hate 25G anyway.
