Greetings again, Seems folks are making this way too difficult. Instead of cutting, as in open circuit stub (high voltage there), go for the shorted stub, using a pin and gradually move away from the end while watching the second harmonic on a receiver. Once minimum is found. STOP! Cut the coax and short it there. Voila! Done it and got great results from nearby 600 W AM rig.
