Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] 20m yagi with dual-driven element
Thanks for feedback
Dave, Was there a big difference between the 5 or 6 el ????
Ok, about the bandwidth of dual driven.

## why not just use the OWA design?? Then u get a more consistent pattern
across the band. 6 -els on a 44'-48' boom. The swr / F/R, gain patterns are
flatter across the band. No double swr dips , like the dual DE designs.
## Even M2 has a new 20m yagi with the OWA direct feed, No hairpin.
## Then no losses in any hairpin. Direct feed. Just use a choke balun.
## Like large 1" diam x 1" long x 1/2" ID type-43 beads slid over
RG-393 Teflon coax... or 213-u... [ or FSJ-4-50] All 3 x of the cables work
very
well with 17x beads used. Z = 1488 ohms. I use 7-16 DIN connectors on all
mine. You can not blow it up, good for 10 kw cxr, ccs [393 coax] Then it's
super
reliable at 1.5 kw... even with 213-U
