    Square footage is not the best parameter to use  for rotator capacity. 
You can have 2 antennas with the same square footage  with radically 
different torques on the rotator. 
 
    A more realistic way to look at it is using the  Yaesu K-Factor (the 
Hy-Gain Effective Moment is the same thing). It is the  product of weight 
times turning radius. The K-Factors and Effective Moments of  Yaesu and Hy-Gain 
rotators are available on numerous websites. 
 
    The UP THE TOWER - The Complete Guide To Tower  Construction book has a
