You probably don't have to bother wrapping the inner conductor together or to
teh shield as most possible the shield will take care of all current. Wrapping
them together won't hurt though.

Subject: [TowerTalk] multi conductor wire
I have a large spool of 4 conducter shielded wire (approx 22 gauge wires) that
is surplus to my needs. I want to consider using it as an inverted L antenna
wire on 160M. Would I experience any unanticipated effects from wrapping the 4
wire ends and the shield together on each end to essentially make it a single
conductor? Would it also act as a single conductor if done the same way and
used for a ground radial? Opinions welcomed.
