I have an out of production W9IIX ladder mast that I have used since 1981. I climbed the steps 20 years ago myself (225 pounds) and Louie Lincoln has climbed them last year. They are welded onto the ladder mast. Louie has add on steps that look much like the steps W9IIX sells and he uses them quite often. These steps bolt onto the mast. I wiuld stay away from steps that require holes in the actual mast!
