Hi Pete
I read somewhere that if you have 2 boxes physically connected in any way,
that can be a path for interference. It seems if your boxes are all
connected to the same aluminum plate, that may give a path for interference.
I had 2 switches in a BIG aluminum box that switched antennas to each radio,
and had quite a bit of interference. I redid the whole switching
configuration and made a bunch of 2 postion antenna selector switches--one
for each antenna. The output of each switch goes to an 8-position antenna
switch for each radio. That way I can select any antenna to go to any
radio. It's not automatic by any means, but sure did cut down on the
interference.
I put my stubs on the 2-position antenna switch so that no matter which
radio I'm on, it has a set of stubs on the antenna. 73
