Bill,
First, do visit your local police dept. or county or state HQ, which ever
applies, and talk to the folks there...they know all the repeat offenders in
your area as well as the typical types of crimes that occur. They may even
be willing to adjust surveillance routes to include occasional drive-byes of
your installation, etc.
Also, if you have power at the site, a small lap top or an old PC and a
GEOVISION CCTV i/o card and a camera or DVR will give you excellent motion
and scene change updates info that is recorded. In addition when the system
is triggered by an event, a snap-shot of the trigger item of interest is
reported to you in real-time with a jpg via SMS to your email account.
Systems are available for less than $400.
