Fellow Tower Talk members:
My XYL Cheryl (WY5H) and I had the windows upgraded at our QTH and as part of
the process the window company ripped out our old window feed through (a
"Lambda Vector" model which isn't manufactured any longer) and now I have to
open the window and pull the coax through to connect the rig. Winter still
hasn't gone away yet in North Texas as it was in the mid-30s yesterday so I
can't leave the window cracked a little for very long and as soon as it gets
warm the "skeeters" will be drawing blood and I'm unfortueately a "mosquito
magnet."
I've seen the various MFJ models at Dayton and Ham Com in Plano TX and they
seemed like good well contrcuted units. Anyone on TowerTalk used them?
If so how were the results?
I saw a couple "Lexan" or "Plexiglass" feed throughs at a Dayton booth last
year, but the MFJ models seem a bit stouter and better engineered.
I've got two HF and one VHF coax to feed through, plus a Ham IV rotor cable
(will probably have to drill a hole for it. Looks like the MFJ has a screw
terminal on the bottom for a common grounding post.
73 es thanks for any comments or suggestions and no my XYL won't let me drill
or chisel a feed through in the brick walls.
