David I think you have found one the tricks to pass inspection. Trust me when I say the inspector does not want to fail your inspection he wants to pass it. He does not want to come back 4 times to do it either. Now there is always one jerk in the group that come hell or high water does not get the picture. If you get him as your inspector and lets hope you don't you will have change your aproach. This shows 2 things. 1. we "er" those inspectors are not used to hard work and they do not want hear about some guy complaining to their boss. 2. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Most Intelligent inspectors have very short memories and poor vision. Make his job job easy and he wil make yours easy too. unless there is something very wrong with your project you should pass inspection.
