Not sure about the last part, but try: http://radio-locator.com/
Plug in the call letters of a station of interest and you go to a link
which has tech info. Click on "View Coverage Map" for the obvious and
"Transmitter Location" which will get you a Google map/satellite/terrain
image of the tower site. Really cool and useful.
