How about the water tight AMU boxes available for around $5 - 10 in surplus
stores? They are available in all sizes from rifle amu to mortar amu.

Does it need to be weather proof? rain tight? metal?
Lots of small metal cabinets of one sort or another around (file
cabinets or medicine chests for instance). Look in the cabinetry area
instead of the electrical area. Tool boxes are another possibility.
