I've been using LMR-400 for five years - it's not buried, just on the
ground. I have about 100 feet of it out to the tower, and it's survived
nicely with rain, ice, snow, and all the other environmental issues here
in the Rocky Mountains at 7500 feet without a problem. Could an elk
step on it, or a coyote or squirrel decide it looks tasty? Yep. So
far, so good. I have bed rock just inches under the ground, so there's
simply no way to bury it. YMMV...
