How about considering military surplus fiberglass masts?  I bought a set 
of 10 for $6.99 plus shipping to use as horizontal antenna supports from 
the tower.  They are about 1/4 inch wall thickness, and 4 feet long.  
Although I bought 10, Hue sent me 15 for the same price.  That's 60 feet.
