This is troublesome. Anyone, who uses a fence rail 
on their tower is in trouble....
This is NOT a safe practice....no matter what you 
put on top...
I know people who put up 100 foot towers with NO 
concrete in the ground....just rocks or in some 
cases ..just dirt...
And yes!..they are still up...but "I" am not the 
guy climbing those towers....

What I am saying is ...there IS a right way and a 
WRONG way to install antenna systems...and using 
fence railing is NOT one of them....
Save yourself some massive headaches and do it 
right. The cost of a mast relative to your hobby 
is worth it. SInce I do my own climbing....
I use Chromemoly material only ...but antennas are 
rather large here. (44 + foot booms)... or DOM 
1026 .25" wall on everything else....

DO the windload math and then I think you will 
understand this WHOLE thread...You can NOT argue 
with the MATH!!!
