[TowerTalk] Thanks for Responses....Vert v Horiz Dipole

Thanks to all who provided responses on and off the reflector.

So far, Jim Brown, K9YC is the only one who seems to have actual experience in 
A/B testing between the two antennas  (horiz outperforms vert dipole long 
haul).  Based on my own general antenna experience, his results do not surprise 
me.

Jim Jarvis, N2EA, offered a good comparison between a GP and a horizontal 
dipole.  His results (GP wins long haul consistently) also do not surprise me.  
I personally think the GP radials/counterpoise offer an advantage over average 
to good ground versus a vertical half-wave dipole.

If anyone else has hands on experience, please contact me.
