The quad-yagi hybrid has been around for years and is known as a
"Quagi". They work fine, but in my opinion are more trouble than they
are worth. I have had both quads and yagis and for me, no more quads. It
is true their performance is excellent while they hold together, but
they are a mechanical train wreck waiting to happen. Add an extra
element or two to a yagi and you can get equal performance with far
greater mechanical reliability. Others will disagree (strongly) but
that's what I think.
