I use two hole saws to make guy rings of aluminum. It's a lot easier
to do in a drill press. Drill the pilot hole, layout and drill the
guy holes, screw the aluminum blank to a wood backing piece using the guy
holes, then use the hole saws. You can do it without the backing
piece if you use the large hole saw first, but the backing piece makes
for a cleaner, safer, job.

If you have a steady hand or a drill press you can make your own
from large stainless steel washers available from
McMaster-Carr. P/N 92141-A040, Stainless Steel flat Washer 1-1/4"
screw Size, 1-5/16" ID, 2-3/4"OD .156Thk. A box of 10 runs about
13 dollars plus shipping. If you have a CAD package on your PC it
is easy to lay out the guy spacing for 4 guys plus one hole for a
halyard or 3 holes spaced 120 degrees apart.
