Additional care is required when applying crimp connectors to stranded center conductor cable such as LMR-400 UltraFlex. Some crimp connectors have more room in the center pin making them easier to apply when you have not done a proper job of preparing the stranded center conductor. However, taking your time and preparing the stranded center conductor properly results in no installation problems.
