Only speaking as a ham with about 27 years of experience with LED's in
homebrew equipment, I can only say I've replaced more incandescents (>10)
than LED's (0) due to simple burn out in the equipment. I'm sure LED's can
and do fail (believe me, I've MADE a bunch fail over the years), it's just
that I've not seen one fail that wasn't directly attributable to my
incompetence through poor design, miswiring, etc.
