Doug, That seems awfully silly. Why would it take more than one instance to prove its value? There's already at least a few ex-hams who ended up permanently below ground solely because they DIDN'T have one (or didn't use one properly) that could have saved their lives, which seems a heck of a lot more relevant to me anyway. But if you're that sold on free climbing a tower, have at it ...
