An even better telephone wire for radials is "cross-connect" wire.
This is just a #24 twisted pair with no outer jacket. At Fry's,
they charge $30 for 1000 ft. Also available on ebay, etc.

Has anyone tried the 4 conductor telephone wire for radials. Its super

at hamfests and some regular fleamarkets in big spools. #24 or 26 I
believe.
I've used this cable for years. It's great for multiband radials because
you can trim the conductors for each band desired. Durable and holds up
well. The outside telephone cable is also available both with and without
the steel messenger at reasonable prices.
