Yikes. Way too redundant for me. A run of cable should be well hung
(pun intended) at the top; e.g. hoseclamp, Kellum grip, a couple of
industrial strength tie wraps, etc.
After that tape is fine, leapfrog tape and tie wraps. Cumulatively
that's good for a hundred-footer. Repeat or add more hoseclamps, etc. for
longer lengths. Andrew Corp. recommends tying it in every 6 feet. If you're at
altitude or a place where they get LOTS of sunshine (NOT WA), taping over a
tie
wrap will result in just about zero tie wrap degradation.
And you don't need to use a half-roll of tape for each wrap. Two or
three wraps is plenty.
Don't let me discourage from overdoing something but in this case
it's not necessary.
I use tape, etc. and haven't tried the wire one.
