I'm going to put up a 190' Rohn 55 tower where another tower once stood. While I could dig out the old base and pour a fresh one, I thought it would be easier to go the pier pin route. Although I've had a number of towers up over the years, I'm not experienced with erecting a tower on a pier pin. Do I need a tapered base section ($$) to do this right?
