"Our friends at
R****-S****
have a nice one that makes a real professional six-sided crimp."
I like the compression connectors better than I like the crimp ones.
A compression connector tool is $15 at Home Depot and if you buy the
big pack of compression-type F connectors in the little jar they're
$29 for 50 of 'em. Make sure you check out whether they're for RG6
quad shield or RG6... I think the ones you want are blue, the ones I
got for my quad shield are black.
I know there are some called Snap 'N Seal from Thomas Betts that are
supposed to be really good and weatherproof, but I haven't tried
those. Those are the ones that DX Engineering stocks.
In theory, the Home Depot ones should make a weathertight seal I
believe, but I'm wrapping 'em with silicone sealing tape and
electrical tape anyway.
I have some RG-59 crimp ones that I'm using on 50 ohm solid-center
coax so that I can make twelfth-wave transformers but I wish I had
compression ones for that too.

Dan
