There a couple of things to look for:

RG6 for most cable and TV applications uses a copper clad steel
center conductor.

RG6 for satellite (Wildblue, Hughes, Direct TV) requires a solid
copper center conductor due to the relatively high voltages they
supply to the transceiver or receiver. You will also see that the
cable is swept to 3 GHz.

RG6 quad shield is larger in diameter than the normal off the shelf
double shield RG6 and requires a different sized connector. I highly
recommend the newer compression connector over the older crimp style.
You can get cable and connectors @ Home Depot but you need to make
sure you grab the right connector for the right cable. Quad shield
connectors will pull off regular double shield RG6.

Thomas and Betts make a nice crimping tool and I bought mine at HD.
Both DX Engineering and I stock compression F connectors.

I make great use of RG6 for feeding low band receiving antennas as it
is low loss and is very easy to work with.
