Well, while I feel for this lady and those like her, I'm going to insist
that the rest of us not be pounded into the stone-age, by their afflictions.
Another example of this is the peanut allergy issue, which for some, is
life-threatening...I do my best to refrain from such things while in their
company, but I'm not going to give up peanut butter all the time and no one
should have to give up ham radio, cell phones, television or even LANDLINE
phones because of these cases.
They will need to be provided with a medically-appropriate environment (in
this case head cover and screening for the home) in order to live among us.
Further, folks need to be sensitive enough to turn off things that could
cause harm when in her company or to wash their hands and faces and brush
their teeth when planning to work with folks with peanut allergies.
Finally, the folks need to be given better medical options through research
that is focused on helping these folks, and not hampering of the general
population's normal way of life.

Thanks for the link, LJ. Did you see the first reader comment from someone
else claiming to have the disease?:
"Treatment for that was successful until a Ham radio enthusiast moved in
next door - operating on both UHF and long-wave frequencies. That triggered
the EM sensitivity, resulting in a huge worsening of dystonia symptoms."

Do a search on Google for Sarah Dacre, and you'll find several articles
about her ailment, along with pictures of her special "headgear".
Here's one of the articles (the line wrap may require you to cut and paste
the entire url together for your browser):
